The kids & I were invited by friends of ours to join their family for a trip to Lake Powell this past weekend. The time away was much needed! It was our first time there. (Hopefully Mike will be able to join us next time!) What a sweet family they have, even inviting us to stay in the home of relatives. It was a such a pleasure spending time with them & getting to know more about them & their family. We all had a great time at Lake Powell. It was so fun to see Annie's reactions to her first time in water that wasn't a sink or bathtub. She was apprehensive at first, but eventually really liked it. The boys were thrilled near the end of the time at the lake when 2 mallard ducks came to join us. The next day we took a tour of the Glen Canyon dam. What an amazing feat of engineering!
